Urinary tract disorders are conditions that affect the urinary system, which removes waste and excess water from the blood. These disorders can include infections, blockages, and other issues.
Urinary tract infections (UTIs) : Infections that can affect any part of the urinary tract, including the bladder, ureters, or kidneys. Symptoms include pain or burning when urinating, cloudy or bloody urine, and fever. UTIs are treated with antibiotics.
Kidney stones : Caused by high levels of calcium in the blood or infection. Kidney stones can block the urinary tract and cause urine to back up into the ureters and kidneys.
Bladder infections: Also known as cystitis, these infections are usually caused by bacteria.
Enlarged prostate : Can make it difficult to empty the bladder in men.
Urinary incontinence : When urine leaks out of the urethra.
Urethritis : An infection of the urethra, the tube that carries urine from the bladder to outside the body.
Other urinary tract disorders include: Abscesses, Kidney infections, Bladder control problems, Prostate problems, and Erectile dysfunction.
